Jim Miley

Jim is the Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer at HFG. With an emphasis on operational efficiency through the operating and financial activities of the team, he focuses on investment analytics, due diligence, and strategy.

Jim helps organizations and individuals plan their retirement with deliberate and actionable steps. He aims to demystify the financial planning process with understandable language and personalized education, allowing him to better address the complex financial needs of his clients.

Jim earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Concordia University-Saint Paul. He then obtained the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation from the Investments & Wealth Institute. Jim serves on the Board of Directors of Rise, Inc., a non-profit organization offering access to resources, opportunities, and support to those in need. He serves on the initial Board of the Minnesota Secure Choice Retirement Program, a state-run retirement savings program for employees without access to an employer-sponsored retirement program. Jim and his wife, Katie, live in St. Paul with their four kids.
